The list of Hollywood's elite who have starred in B-Movie Horror is endless.  Stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, the ultimate "Scream Queen" has made a living off her role as "Laurie Strode".  You could argue that she has not or ever will escape that role.  And why should she!  We salute Jamie for (to our knowledge) never dissing her roots... unlike SOME stars, who would rather be caught dead than admit they were in a B-Movie early in their career.  We're not saying everyone on this list has dissed their roots, BUT, we don't hear them bringing it up very often!

The latest reviews are in a light gray!

Jason Alexander:  "The Burning" - 1981
Before Alexander played the neurotic "George Castanza" on Sienfeld, he started in this teen-slasher film.  If I remember right, he even had hair!
Jennifer Aniston:  "Leprechaun" - 1993
It's hard to believe that a year before "Friends" she starred in this Cult-Classic.  In my opinion, I rather watch one of these films than "Friends", the movies are more realistic than that horrible show!  She was great in the film by the way, you could see she had potential.
Kevin Bacon:  "Friday The 13th" - 1980
This is fairly common knowledge that Bacon played "Jack" in the first installment.  I havn't played "Six Degrees Of Kevin Bacon", but I would assume there's some reference to the movie.  Hard to believe there's been more sequels than we can count!
Laura Flynn Boyle:  "POLTERGEIST 3" - 1988
OK, so she's never been an "A-List" actress anyway, but after playing an attorney on "The Practice" she needs to be brought down a notch.  This wasn't a horrible film, but by this time, I don't think many people cared about the film.
Dana Carvey - "Halloween II" - 1981
Saturday Night Live star played an "Assitant" in Part 2 of the Halloween series.  Small part, watch closely, you might miss it!
Patrick Dempsey - "The Stuff" - 1985
Before becoming "the stuff" on "Grey's Anatomy" and even before his early breakthrough with the date-flick "Can't Buy Me Love", Dr. McDreamy appeared briefly in "The Stuff", a horror/comedy cult fav from Larry Cohen.
Johnny Depp - "A Nightmare On Elm Street" -
Depp's no stranger to Horror as he's done justice to "Sleepy Hollow" and was amazing in "Ed Wood", he's also starred in the dreadful "The Ninth Gate" and chased "Jack The Ripper" in "From Hell".  Who could forget the fountain of blood Freddie made of him!!
Kathy Griffin:  "THE UNBORN" - 1991
Wacky Kathy Griffin played an overbearing lesbian in "The Unborn". She was about as annoying as her character in Seinfeld.  READ THE REVIEW
Tom Hanks:  "He Knows Your Alone" - 1980
He may be Hollywood's biggest draw right now, but even before "Bosom Buddies" he debuted as the nerdy "Elliot" in this sub-standard Slasher Flick.  He's only in the film for a short time, and is never in any danger of being a victim.
Holly Hunter:  "The Burning" - 1981
Amazingly, she got her start with Jason Alexander in this slasher flick.  It was the first film for both of them.  Hunter of course would go on to an illustrious career including "The Piano"
Angelina Jolie - "Cyborg 2" - 1993
Before she was kicking ass as "Lara Croft", Angelina was kicking ass in this sequel that wasn't really a sequel to Van Damme's "Cyborg".  If you had doubts about her as Croft, check this one out, she's definately a bad ass!  Billy Bob best not mess with her!
Heather Locklear - "Return Of The Swamp Thing" - 1989
Her exposure on "Dynasty" and "TJ Hooker" didn't exactly land her the big roles... come to think of it, she's probably more famous for being Richie Sambora's wife! Hey, we'll give her a break, she's still smokin' hot!
Lisa Kudrow :  "THE UNBORN" - 1991
Way before her success in "Friends", Kudrow had a small part in this film. Ironically Kathy Griffin also starred in this film.  READ THE REVIEW
Bill Paxton:  "Night Warning" - 1981
Most of Paxton's best roles have been his work in B-Movies.  He appeared in this film and a year or so later,  he was in "Mortuary".  Paxton was brilliant in "Near Dark" and of course "Aliens".  Paxton is one of our favorites!
Ryan Phillippe:  "INVADER" - 1996
It's hard to believe he was a soldier in the hideous B-Movie before starring in the box office smash "I Know What You Did Last Summer".  Was this the role that got the him the job?  READ THE REVIEW
Brad Pitt:  "Cutting Class" - 1989
Brad plays a high school kid named "Dwight" in this tongue-in-cheek Slasher that doesn't "make the grade" in our book.  Two years later he made his mark in "Thelma & Louise".
Paul Rudd: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers - 1995
Now he's considered one of the best supporting funny men in the biz, from "Anchorman" to "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up". Before his sucess he was fighting with Michael Myers.
Meg Ryan:  "Amityville 3-D" - 1983
She was cute back then, too bad the movie was pretty bad!  She had a few TV roles before this one, but it was her first feature film.  Who knew she'd be Hollywood's sweetheart one day!
Don Scardino:  "Squirm" - 1976
You probably don' t know this mega-geek from his acting career, but you've probably seen shows he's directed. He's worked on "30 Rock", "Rescue Me", "Law & Order" and many more. "Squirm" was a victim of Mystery Science Theater, where I venture to say more people saw it than the original release.
Sylvester Stallone - "Death Race 2000" - 1975
A year before Sly hit it big as "Rocky" he was Machine-Gun Joe Viterbo in Roger Corman's "Death Race 2000" a cult favorite about a race where you score points by hitting pedestrians.... it's a classic.
Sharon Stone:  "DEADLY BLESSING" - 1981
Long before Stone became one of Hollywood's leading ladies, she starred in Wes Craven's thriller about a community of crazy Amish!  READ THE REVIEW
Christine Taylor - "Night Of The Demons 2" - 1994
Before she was "Marcia Marcia Marcia" in the Brady Bunch films, "Holly" in "The Wedding Singer" and before becoming Mrs. Ben Still, Taylor played a bitchy schoolgirl in this cult-classic.
Rita Wilson: The Day It Came To Earth - 1979
She's probably more famous for being Tom Hanks wife, but Rita Wilson has had a pretty decent career in Network television and as a supporting actress. One of her first gigs was this campy Scifi flick, and I mean this film defines CAMPY!

: Mortuary has the very young Bill Paxton in it, in 1981 in Night Warning
Amityville 3-D (1983) .... Lisa Meg Ryan
