Talk
about making an impact. "Prime Sinster" has really
only been together for a couple years, it's a big sketchy how
long exactly, but this is their first full-length. I'm telling
you now this is one of the most powerful debuts I've heard in
a long time. "Sinister" is not only part of their
name, but a great way to describe their sound. They call themselves
a cross between Motorhead and Ministry and I can't argue with
that at all. They're heavy, with some industrial elements, but
most of all they have some catchy hooks inflused into the songs.
They're probably the perfect comination of heavy music to unite
fans from multiple genres.
Vocalist
and guitarist Pills, basisst 96 and drummer Fuse actually do
have a history together in the French industrial outfit "Undercover
Slut". They obviously have a chemistry together which is
evident throughout the album. It's hard to pick out hightlight
because they're really aren't any slackers on the album. Personally
I thought "The Den Of Demise" and "Son Of A Bitch"
were the instantly catchy tunes. "Bum's Fight" is
a dark and demented industrial-laced rocker that brings back
memories of "Just One Fix" from Ministry. I must add
that even though have some industrial sounding stuff, they are
a full-fledged band, they drums, bass and guitars sound VERY
real. "Eat The Flesh", "In Guns We Trust"
and "The Riot Bursts" are clear indications that these
guys can do Metal with the best of them with their shredding
guitars and double-bass rampage.
If
you havn't figured it out now, I'm very impressed with this
release on many levels. I can already consider it in my Top-10
of the year. I know already this one will be hard to top, even
if we are only in early March. If things go right, I suspect
you'll be hearing much more about this band.
