Glancing at the album cover gives off the impression that the
lyrics and music were going to be influenced by roman history
or Egyptian history. The first thing that came to my mind was
a thrash metal version of Kataklysm. Don’t judge an album
by its cover though. This is a far cry from a thrashy version
of Kataklysm.
The music isn’t anything new or amazing. The guitars are
doing nothing special for the album except background noise.
The drumming really doesn’t help for the matter either.
Where’s that damn bass? Not to be heard on this album
either. The vocals are a mixture of death and hardcore. Shouting
and growling through out the entire album. There is no real
change in vocal styling at all except when the entire band starts
shouting. If the band were to find a different singer and made
more interesting music they would probably find themselves somewhere
successful. I really wish I could’ve enjoyed this album
but it’s just not enjoyable.
