Primal Fear returns with "16.6" in what seems only
months after "New Religion", but in reality in has
been 18 months. I suppose the "Sinner" album in between
made is seem like less time. "16.6" is along the same
lines as "New Religion", but without as much orchestral
sounds and the ballads with opera singers. Sinner claims it
goes back to the days of Nuclear Fire, but it's much more diverse
than their earlier material. Primal Fear have actually become
much more accessible than before, they're not just doing music
for the Hardcore fans, I think more women can appreciate the
music. Having said that, don't think they have gone soft, they
just are more diverse and aren't afraid to do more melodic mid-tempo
material. "16.6" is more evidence that Primal Fear
is at the top of their game and the Metal world.
